Regional Transition Network
The South Western Regional Transition Network serves Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties. It provides technical assistance and support to school districts for students with disabilities who are of transition age. The Transition Technical Assistance Network was created in 2013 to further improve Oregon’s systems of designing and delivering employment services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The South Western Regional Transition Network provides school staff-level support regarding district transition programs through training events, program reviews, and providing resources to educators. The Transition Network promotes collaboration between schools, community agencies, and non-profit groups to establish a seamless transition of support services when individuals exit school programs. Additionally, the Transition Network provides family-focused, community educational events and resources related to transition and support for individuals that experience disabilities.
