Part Time Certified Reading Specialist – Days Creek School District

Days Creek School District is accepting applications for a Part Time Certified Reading Specialist.  This is a one-year position for the 2024-25 school year.

Salary Range:
$22,555 – $39,801 per year depending on your education and years of experience as a reading specialist

Summary:
You will work with the K-5 instructional team around best practices for reading instruction.  The preferred candidate will lead K-5 professional development, conduct classroom observations for instructional fidelity, oversee reading assessments, and may work with small instructional groups.

Qualifications:
The preferred candidate would be a certified reading specialist and/or have at least three years of reading instructional experience.  The candidate would need experience with administering and analyzing data from Smarter Balance ELA, DIBELs, and STAR Literacy assessments. They would have had experience in facilitating reading professional development and be able to provide objective feedback to colleagues to assist them in improving reading instruction.
