Provide comprehensive assessment, therapy, and consultation services in the area of communication disorders.

Assesses students’ levels of functioning and their therapy needs.
Participates as a member of a team (IEP/IFSP, Placement, etc.) and assumes appropriate roles: leads, follows, and supports others in a productive manner.
Participates in development of IEP/IFSP for each eligible student.
Designs, implements, and supervises delivery of instructional programs to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
Collects, records, evaluates therapy data.
Effectively manages student behavior.
Works cooperatively and communicates appropriately with parents, local district personnel, and ESD personnel.
Manages daily work schedule utilizing effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Order and maintain appropriate therapy materials and equipment.
Evaluates and reports student performance and progress.
Attends ESD staff meetings and in-services and serve on committees as directed.
Completes required reports and other forms promptly and in an acceptable manner.
Analyzes the effectiveness, appropriateness, and usefulness of strategies and practices used with students, parents, and staff.
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
ASHA certification or Oregon Speech Pathology license required.
Experience in speech and language pathology, and in EI/ECSE preferred.
Knowledge of etiology, characteristics, and prognosis of communication disorders.
Knowledge of laws, rules, policies, and trends regarding instruction of students with disabilities.
Knowledge of a variety of evaluation techniques.
Knowledge of normal developmental sequences and learning patterns.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
Knowledge of communication techniques.
Ability to develop appropriate curriculum.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to provide reliable transportation to and between work locations.
Possess or quickly acquire basic technology skills, including e-mail, and use word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software to the extent necessary to efficiently accomplish the duties of this position.
Possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record and maintain valid auto insurance.
