Douglas ESD is accepting applications for the position of Quality Improvement Specialist – Inclusion Supports. This position works194 days per year, 4 days per week, 8 hours per day, to begin immediately.

STARTING SALARY: $24.83 – $32.00 per hour (Placement is dependent on relevant verifiable experience)
JOB SUMMARY: Recruitment, retention and development of quality early learning professionals and practitioners through direct service.

- Develop outreach strategies for provider engagement
- Recruit and elevate provider voice of all provider types in Douglas County through listening sessions and communities of practice.
- Provide distance (e-mail, phone, etc.) and in person individual support including material review and feedback, connection to resources, on-going guidance and check-in with childcare providers
- Facilitate a community of practice on inclusive practices.
- Support providers in their environmental and individual inclusive accommodation strategies
- Complete environmental and individual observations/assessment tools as deemed appropriate
- Partner with CCR&R Regional Inclusion Specialist to meet Inclusive Partner expectations
- Occasional travel and out-of-town stays are a part of this role as it relates to statewide systems and training for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood preferred.
- Experience supporting young children in early learning setting required.
- Must be a step 10 on the Oregon registry or become a step 10 within 6 months of receiving this position.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching adults preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong 21st century skills.
- Must be willing to work some evenings and Saturdays to meet the needs of our clients.
- Speaking, reading, and writing Spanish preferred.
