POSITION Playground Assistant

East
DUTIES Under general supervision, performs playground duties including supervising use of play equipment, keeping children in prescribed boundaries and disciplining children as needed.
The primary emphasis of the playground assistant is to enable students, through meaningful playground leadership, to enjoy the group interaction and physical exercise that are an integral part of the district educational program, allowing for the well-being and safety of the children being supervised.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS 1. Ability to assert authority reasonably.
2. Recognize unsafe play and direct children accordingly.
3. Must acknowledge and enforce rules.
4. Must hold and maintain a current First Aid Card.
5. High School diploma or equivalent.
SALARY Pay as per salary schedule beginning at $13.61/hr. Approximately 8 hours per week.
BEGINNING DATE ASAP

WORK YEAR Approximately 144 days
