FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Butte Falls Charter School seeks qualified applicants for a FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE MANAGER position.

  • Position is 260 days per year
  • 8 hours per day – 5 days per week

GENERAL INFORMATION
Salary/Pay Rate:  $17.32 – $18.85

JOB SUMMARY
Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of maintenance staff and performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, construction and repair of buildings, equipment and grounds throughout the District as needed.  This position represents the District as the point of contact with Department of Environmental Quality, the Oregon Health Department, the State Fire Marshall, AHERA and the Environmental Protection Agency.  The position requires supervisory, scheduling, training and communication skills as well as advanced level skills in two or more trades, along with supervision of wastewater treatment systems, asbestos management, and compliance with all codes and requirements. Performs duties with minimal supervision.

DUTIES

  1. Perform maintenance, repair, grounds and construction activities.
  2. Coordinates maintenance and grounds staff.
  3. Inspect work in progress and upon completion for compliance with standards of the trade.
  4. Represent the District with state and federal regulatory agencies; including DEQ, OHD, State Fire Marshall, AHERA, and EPA.
  5. Examine District properties on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance.
  6. Establish and recommend priorities on repair projects.
  7. Assign work and support crew members as needed.
  8. Accurately estimate the costs of repair projects in terms of labor; material; and overhead.
  9. Assign and supervise crews of crafts people for maintenance work such as replacing worn wiring; switches, plumbing fixtures, etc., and repairing fencing, asphalt, concrete, ceilings, etc.
  10. Organizes, assigns and follows up on requested work to maintain building effectively.
