Educational Grants Analyst – Douglas ESD

Douglas ESD is accepting applications for the position of Educational Grants Analyst. This position works 230 days per year, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, to begin immediately.

STARTING SALARY: $28.61 – $36.88 per hour (Placement is dependent on relevant verifiable experience)

JOB SUMMARY:  This position supports the Douglas ESD’s Education Services Department and Douglas County youth, educators, and administrators in the implementation of program activities, budget monitoring, and grant tracking and reporting. The position is located at the Douglas ESD and will work with ESD programs and projects, as well as provide support to component districts and their programs.  This position consults and provides support to staff and districts in the implementation of and reporting upon programs and activities.

  • Leverage knowledge of issues, landscape, user narrative, and ethics to develop strategies that amplify the work of the Douglas ESD and connect with partners to maximize transformative improvement in systems change for improved student outcomes and educator effectiveness.
  • Represent the Douglas ESD and work with and alongside district colleagues to support grants management and reporting, program development, and documentation of outcomes in formats that are widely accessible by diverse audiences including educators, administrators, families, students, community members, and policy makers.
  • Support Education Services teams with grants, programs, and activities to establish goals, guide actions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support program and initiative workgroups.
  • Coordinate logistics to support effective program implementation, develop recommendations for improvement and document program outcomes.
    • Develop grants management tools appropriate to program or grant requirements.
    • Develop and maintain grant reporting timelines to ensure timely submission of information.
    • Coordinate with Data Supervisor to ensure program or grant implementation and ensure required evaluation data is collected.
    • Prepare reports that are clear, concise, and appropriate to the audience.
    • Participate in analyzing grant outcomes to improve programs.
    • Maintain expert knowledge of grant reporting platforms, such as SmartSheets; provide training and ongoing coaching support to staff and district partners on the use of reporting platforms.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal agency staff as well as district partners regarding grant data and reporting.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to and from school locations in the Douglas ESD service area and may be required to travel on overnight assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of public-school systems, including working knowledge of common student assessment and school performance measures.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in program development, grant management, or project coordination is preferred.
  • Candidates must demonstrate experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting both qualitative (e.g., focus groups, interviews) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, administrative records) data.
  • Proficiency in using data management software, grant reporting platforms (e.g., SmartSheets), and budgeting tools is required.
  • Experience in managing multiple, complex projects, particularly in educational or nonprofit settings, and familiarity with compliance regulations for state and federal reporting is essential.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to set goals, manage timelines, and coordinate diverse teams, is highly desired.
