Data Coach / Facilitator

220 days / 8 hours per day / 5 days per week

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for engaging educators and administrators in the development, preparation, and analyzation of data reports to be used to make data-guided decisions as part of a continuous improvement process. The position is located at the Douglas ESD and will work with ESD programs and projects, as well as provide data support to component districts and their programs.  This position consults and provides supports to districts to engage in the effective analysis of data to support continuous improvement cycles.

  • Leverage knowledge of issues, landscape, user narrative, and ethics to develop strategies that amplify the work of educators and connect with partners to maximize transformative improvement in systems change for gender, racial, and economic equity.
  • Work in partnership with Douglas ESD and district colleagues to develop data systems that accurately reflect the reality of the work and communicate its impact in formats that are widely accessible by diverse audiences including educators, administrators, families, students, community members, and policy makers.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support effective program implementation, develop recommendations for improvement and document program outcomes.
    • Develop data collection tools appropriate to program or grant needs.
    • Develop and maintain data collection timelines to ensure timely availability of information.
    • Monitor program or grant implementation and ensure required evaluation data is collected.
    • Prepare reports that are clear, concise and appropriate to the audience.
    • Use data analysis to recommend program improvements.
  • Lead the Regional Educator Network (REN) Data Team.
  • Support REN Design Teams with identifying, gathering, and interpreting data that captures the work of the REN.
  • Coach educators in the use of data to establish goals, guide actions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Participate in regional, state, community and local meetings related to assignment.
  • Integrate data for evaluation and learning within a continuous improvement structure to include Plan, Do, Study, Act cycles, quantitative data analysis, and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Understand and implement data processes and analysis that are centered in equity.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred. Working knowledge of common student assessment and school performance measures. Understanding of public-school systems through working knowledge of common student assessment and school performance measures. Training and experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative (e.g., focus groups and interviews) and quantitative (e.g., survey, administrative records) data.
