Duties:

Provides comprehensive psychological evaluations, instructional recommendations, and behavioral management intervention strategies for students referred to the ESD Special Education Evaluation and Consultation Services (SEECS).

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of etiology, characteristics, and prognosis of major disabilities and eligibility categories that warrant the provision of special education services.
2.Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding the provision of special education and related services.
3.Knowledge of assessment instruments and techniques used to evaluate students suspected of experiencing a disability.
4.Ability to write comprehensive psycho-educational reports.
5.Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents.
6.Ability to provide in-service programs on a variety of subject areas related to providing special education.
7.Ability to provide own reliable transportation.
8.Master’s Degree plus credentials in school psychology or related field.
9.Oregon school psychologist certification or ability to obtain.
10.Minimum of one year successful experience in school psychology, education, or related field.
11.Possess or quickly acquire basic technology skills, including e-mail, and use word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software to the extent necessary to efficiently accomplish the duties of this position.

Job Description/Additional Information:

For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, employees who have earned 30 or more semester credits, or 45 or more quarter credits after receiving their Master’s degree shall receive an annual stipend of $1,000.00.  Official transcripts must be submitted prior to the stipend being issued.  For those who are eligible, the annual stipend will be distributed evenly each month through the payroll process.  New employees hired after the first pay period of the fiscal year and employees who earn their additional credits mid-year, will receive a prorated stipend through the payroll process in the same manner, after validation.
