Engaging with Poverty in Mind

Grade K-12 teachers across the county will gather together to discuss the effects of poverty on a child’s brain and strategies to help mitigate those effects.

The workgroup will focus on understanding the brain and behavior of children in poverty, research driven strategies for teaching  those minds, and real classroom examples of Douglas County educators using those strategies.Image: Children eating
