Registration is still open for a free, one-hour webinar on May 3, led by award-winning national speaker and author Phyl Macomber.
RSOI, OTAP and the Oregon Department of Education will present T.H.E. P.A.C.T. preview webinar, which takes place online from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3. (The letters stand for Technology Helps Easy & Practical Accessible Curriculum Teaching). The webinar gives an overview of the framework and provides time for questions with the author. It's geared to classroom teachers, assistive technology teams, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, Special Education teachers and consultants.
In addition, registration will open in mid-May for a full-day, hands-on P.A.C.T. seminar on June 19. The seminar is also presented by Macomber and is for the same target audience.
The 4-Step Roadmap for Reaching & Teaching Students of All Abilities: The Power of the P.A.C.T., is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton. The seminar is based on Macomber's research-based strategies that help teachers reach and teach all students while meeting standards. The training will provide samples and support for elementary, middle and high school students. OTAP will offer ongoing training throughout the coming year to support the framework.
Registration fee for the June 19 seminar is $125 and includes lunch. Registrants may also choose to purchase Macomber's book, "The Power of T.H.E. P.A.C.T.," at a discounted cost.
