Registration is now open for a Growing Early Mindsets (GEM) Institute with Dr. Kendra Coates scheduled for Feb. 5-6 at the Douglas ESD Stephens Street offices..
The event is free to attend, and is sponsored by Kindergarten Partnership & Innovation (KPI), a program of South Central Early Learning Hub and Douglas ESD.

Day 1: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 5 - Geared towards early learning educators, teachers, administrators, parent educators and parent leaders, home visitors, social service, medical, etc.
Objective: To increase knowledge, understanding, ability, and confidence to apply and promote, foster, and teach growth mindset and social & emotional learning (SEL) principles and practices
Day 2: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 6 - Open to GEM cohort, by invitation (educators working with children in classroom settings and Instructional coaches), a deeper dive into implementing the GEM Framework in early childhood settings.
Objective: Increase educator’s knowledge and understanding of growth mindset and social emotional learning (SEL); increase educator’s ability and confidence in promoting, fostering, teaching and applying.
