Teachers, coaches and administrators willing to share their strategies for behavior management in the classroom will meet for three work group sessions starting Nov. 7 at the Douglas Education Service District.
The Behavior Management with Poverty in Mind series continues on Jan. 16 and April 3. All three sessions take place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Douglas ESD, 1871 N.E. Stephens St., Roseburg. There’s no cost to join.
Discussions will focus on how poverty and trauma affect the brain, and what educators can do to overcome the challenges. Participants are asked to bring mobile devices if they have any.
A light lunch will be served at noon. Links to registration and driving directions can be found here.
