2017-18 Administrator Academy workshops underway

Although the Douglas Education Service District's Administrator Academy workshops have already begun, it's not too late to register for the remaining three sessions in each series.

Three different Administrator Academy workshops are available, all of which are organized as four-part series taking place from fall 2017 to spring 2017. Douglas ESD will host all sessions at its offices at 1871 N.E. Stephens St., Roseburg.

The Future Administrator Academy Workshop is focused on teachers who are interested in pursuing administration licenses. It's designed to help teachers acquire skills to become effective school leaders and deepen their knowledge about school administration. Topics this year will include school law overview, student engagement and having difficult conversations with employees.

All sessions are from 4 to 6 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: Jan. 10, March 21 and May 16. Register here for the Future Administrator Academy series.

The Elementary and Middle School Administrator Academy Workshop is designed to support principals in creating great schools and helping elementary and middle school students succeed.

The Administrator Academy Workshop Secondary Level is designed to support principals in creating great schools and helping students succeed at the secondary level.
