Call for Presenters TIES 2016

The 30th Annual Therapy in Educational Settings Conference (TIES) is sponsored by Regional and Statewide Services for Students with Orthopedic Impairments and supported by the Office of Student Learning and Partnerships of the Oregon Department of Education. TIES generally draws approximately 150-185 participants who work directly with children with orthopedic impairments, and other children, aged birth through 21. Most of the participants are occupational therapists and physical therapists.

The Conference will also feature a variety of breakout sessions all day Friday (also the day exhibits will be at the Conference). A final program will be available to view by February, 2016.


Some information to consider when applying to present.

  • Morning Sessions are 2 hours long. Afternoon sessions are 1 hour long.

  • Presenters are asked to make their sessions as interactive as possible to promote audience participation and learning.

  • We utilize a paper-free, online handout policy. Presenters are required to send their handouts digitally to our agency by March 17, 2016. Participants will then download or view from their devices.

  • One presenter for each breakout session will receive a free registration to the TIES Conference.

  • The deadline to apply is January 15, 2016.

  • The Conference staff will make final decisions by the end of January, 2016.

  • If your presentation is selected, we will ask you to send us a JPEG photo of yourself for promotional purposes.
