Provides direct and indirect speech therapy services to students with communication disorders under the direction and supervision of a qualified speech-language pathologist. Ability to communicate verbally in Spanish to students, parents and staff will be giving additional consideration.
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant by the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or be in the process of becoming certified through enrollment in an appropriate college program leading to certification.
AA degree or equivalent with two years or more experience working with children who have disabilities preferred.
Ability to follow directions and work in a team situation with SLPs and teachers with some guidance.
Ability to operate with a moderate degree of independent and good judgment in the completion of tasks.
Possess or quickly acquire technology skills to become proficient in the use of software programs as may be required.
Ability to treat information or people in a professional and confidential manner.
Possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record and maintain valid auto insurance
