Science Workgroup

The purpose of the Administrator STRAND is to support school leaders administrative needs. The range of topics will be instructional leadership, personnel & labor, student safety, and legal.

Administrators will be supported in the development of inter-rater reliability. Administrators will review district adopted rubrics and develop a clear understanding of effective practices.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with district rubric

  • Describe proficient practices based on district rubric descriptors

The time is right to advance toward Next Generation Science Standards. Join us as we investigate what these standards should look like in the 6-12 classroom.

Writing Workgroup Teams ELEMENTARY Only

Grade K-12 teachers across the county will gather together to discuss best practices in writing.

The workgroup will focus on strategies to support informational writing (standard 2) and narrative writing (standard 3). The workgroup participants will use formative assessment, feedback and standard specific strategies to design units around standards.
