ESD, Pacific University considering creation of distance teacher training program in Douglas County

Considering a career change? Ever thought about teaching? We are working with Pacific University to begin a local teaching program in Douglas County. This program would be a hybrid of online and in class learning and could be done while participants work and live at home in Douglas County.

We are looking for at least 12 participants in order to get a commitment from Pacific University for a first cohort. If you are interested, please contact Human Resources Director Holly Hill as soon as possible. She can be reached at 541-957-4837 or holly.hill@douglasesd.k12.or.us.

Death and grieving are part of life. Below are some resources we find helpful when speaking to children about death and grieving. These resources have been categorized for their intended audiences, either parents or school staff; however, the information in either category may be useful to anyone supporting children in their grief.
