The Douglas ESD/YMCA 2015 PartnerSports Camp begins July 11 and will run through July 21, excluding Fridays. Parents wishing to see a full roster of activities may download the schedule here.

An abbreviated version of the first week appears below. 

Here’s the schedule for July 11, 2016:

  • 8:30 to 10 a.m. – Staff meeting, volunteers arrive, introductions, discussion
  • 10 to 11 a.m. – Demonstration of camp activities, set-up
  • 11:10 a.m. to noon – Learn about campers and disabilities
  • Noon – Parents pick up partners

Here’s the schedule for July 12, 2016:

  • 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. – Staff meeting, volunteers arrive, set-up
  • 9:45 to 10 a.m. – Camp registration and welcome
  • 10 to 10:30 a.m. – Scavenger hunt
  • 10:30 to 10:40 a.m. – Group picture
  • 10:40 to 11:25 a.m. – Group A: Basketball; Groups B and C: Soccer
  • 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Group A: Soccer; Groups B and C: Basketball
  • 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. – Lunch
  • 12:45 to 1 p.m. – Group A: Prepare to swim
  • 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. – Group B/C: Golf  
  • 1 to 1:45 p.m. – Group A: Swimming
  • 1:30 to 1:45 p.m. – Group B/C: Prepare to swim
  • 1:45 to 2 p.m. – Group A: Shower/dress
  • 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. – Group B/C: Swimming  
  • 2 to 2:45 p.m. – Group A: Golf
  • 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. – Group B/C: Shower/dress
  • 2:45 p.m. – Come together for water break and closure under group tent
  • 3 p.m. – Bus or parents pick up campers

  • 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. – Staff meeting, volunteers arrive, set-up
  • 9:45 to 10 a.m. – Camp check-in 
  • 10:05 to 10:45 a.m. – Group A: Basketball; Group B: Beach ball w/badminton net; Group C: Capture the flag
  • 10:50 to 11:30 a.m. – Group A: Capture the flag; Group B/C: Basketball
  • 11:35 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – All groups: Choice between hiking to duck pond or kickball   
  • 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. – Lunch
  • 12:45 to 1 p.m. – Group A: Prepare to swim
  • 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. – Group B: Bocce; Group C: Beach ball, volleyball   
  • 1 to 1:45 p.m. – Group A: Swimming
  • 1:30 to 1:45 p.m. – Group B/C: Prepare to swim
  • 1:45 to 2 p.m. – Group A: Shower/dress
  • 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. – Group B/C: Swimming   
  • 2 to 2:45 p.m. – Group A: Bocce
  • 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. – Group B/C: Shower/dress

  • 10:05 to 11 a.m. – Depart for hike in two buses and a van, song and bus games 
  • 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Group A: Tioga segment of North Umpqua Trail; Group B/C: Susan Creek Falls
  • 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch for all groups at Susan Creek day area  
  • 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. – Head back to YMCA
  • 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. – Various games for all groups
  • 2:45 p.m. – Come together for water break and closure under group tent
  • 3 p.m. – Bus or parents pick up campers

  • 10:40 to 11:310 a.m. — Group Red, craft; Group Blue, soccer; Group Yellow, basketball
  • 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. — All groups arrive at Bowman Pond, Prep & Fish
  • 11:10 to 11:15 a.m. — Transition - water break
  • 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. — Group Red, soccer; Group Blue, basketball; Group Yellow, craft
