All appetites are welcomed to the Flapjack Fundraiser for Early Intervention Council, taking place from 8 to 10 a.m. May 7 at Applebee’s, 2755 N.E. Edenbower Blvd., Roseburg. The menu consists of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, milk, juice, and soft drinks. Tickets are $10 each, and every person must have a ticket to attend.

The Early Intervention Council is made up of parents and professionals in the community who are dedicated to the children of Douglas County with special needs. Funds are available through the council for families to offer training opportunities related to their children’s special needs. Any family with a child currently receiving services in the EI/ECSE program may apply for family training funds. Funds also are also available to classrooms or therapists for specific special needs equipment.

Tickets are available in the Early Intervention office and the reception desk at the main Douglas ESD office. Delivery can be arranged for those unable to get to the office. Please make checks payable to Douglas ESD.

If you are unable to attend the fundraiser but are interested in sponsoring an Early Intervention family, please call Tina Early at 541-957-4836.
